HOUSE EXTENSION. PAVILLION AND POOL
Canido, Vigo (2007)
The extension of this house through a pavilion and a swimming pool tries to provide a wider contact with the garden and the surrounding land.
The pavilion is situated on the plot as to serves as an access to the house, and creates a patio that allows greater privacy in the living areas both indoors and outdoors. The greatest care is taken to respect the trees, which are also used to provide shade to the large glass panes.
The construction, a clear structure of concrete and an infill of opaque or transparent panes, is consistent with this idea of simplicity and joy of life, which is the aim of the project.
