TOWER HOUSE
In the terrain there are several constructions, the call Tower, the House-Pazo, a guest house, a swimming pool.
The project maintains this logic of independent parts, adding a parking piece and an arbor, half-buried concrete structures with vegetable covers.
These constructions are carried to the edges, contributing to the formation of a terrace at the level of the living areas and resolving the changes of height and transitions with respect to the street and the swimming pool.
The arbor forms, along with the pool and its beach and the cellar, a lower terrace, more private, that gives to a grove.
In the main pieces, House-Pazo and Tower, adjacent to each other but with alternate levels, we also work from the edge, joining the existing galleries to obtain a connecting piece that connect the private areas of dormitories with the public spaces of living room, kitchen and with the terrain.
The main rooms are constructed as a series of wooden pieces, soft and thermally conditioned, inside the preexisting structure of walls, which protects them. Light is introduced by the covers since the contact with the outside is made through the communication gallery. The criterion in relation to existing constructions, which have their origin in the seventeenth century, is that of a strict maintenance of what has been preserved. The operations we propose are clearly articulated with the existing, completing it, and are resolved within its own material logic.
